2. Course Access and Usage

License Grant: Upon enrollment and payment, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access course materials for personal educational use only.

Content Restrictions: Course materials, including videos, documentation, and code examples, are protected by intellectual property rights and may not be redistributed, republished, or used for commercial purposes.

Fair Usage Guidelines: Reasonable use of platform resources is expected. Excessive bandwidth usage or system abuse may result in access limitations.

3. Platform Access Requirements

Technical Requirements: You are responsible for maintaining compatible devices, internet connectivity, and software necessary to access our services.

Account Security: You must maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

Age Requirements: Users must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent to use our services and enter into this agreement.

Account Suspension

  • • Fraudulent payment or enrollment information
  • • Disruptive behavior toward instructors or students
  • • Unauthorized sharing of course materials

Account Termination

  • • Students may close accounts with 30-day notice
  • • Completed course access retained for 2 years post-graduation
  • • Refund policies apply based on enrollment timing
  • • Data retention follows our Privacy Policy guidelines

Service Availability and Modifications

4. Service Uptime and Maintenance

Availability Target: We strive to maintain 99.5% uptime for our learning platform, with scheduled maintenance occurring during off-peak hours when possible.

Maintenance Windows: Planned maintenance will be announced at least 48 hours in advance through email notifications and platform announcements.

Emergency Maintenance: Unscheduled maintenance may occur for security updates or critical system issues without prior notice.

5. Course and Feature Updates

Content Updates: Course materials are regularly updated to reflect industry best practices, new technologies, and student feedback.

Platform Enhancements: New features and functionality may be added to improve the learning experience, with optional training provided for significant changes.

Legacy Support: Previous course versions remain accessible to enrolled students for at least 12 months after major updates.

6. Geographic and Technical Restrictions

Service Area: Our services are primarily designed for students in Japan and Asia-Pacific region, with course times and support hours optimized for JST timezone.

Technical Compatibility: Platform compatibility is maintained for modern browsers and devices. Legacy system support may be limited.

Language Support: Primary instruction is in English with Japanese language support for administrative communications and select course materials.

Intellectual Property Rights

Content Ownership

All course materials, including but not limited to videos, text, code examples, and interactive exercises, are owned by DataPipe Academy or licensed from third parties.

Students receive educational use rights only and may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission.

Student-Generated Content

Students retain ownership of their original project work and assignments created during courses.

By participating in forums and collaborative projects, students grant DataPipe Academy limited rights to use submissions for educational purposes.

License Grants

Course enrollment grants a personal, non-transferable license to access and use educational materials for learning purposes.

Code templates and starter projects may be used in personal and commercial projects as specified in individual course guidelines.

Third-Party Content

Some course materials include third-party libraries, frameworks, and tools subject to their own licensing terms.

Students are responsible for compliance with third-party licenses when using such materials in their projects.
